Day 01 : Negombo
Oh! To have the rare luck of exploring Sri Lanka in 16 days! The first of the destinations in your Sri Lanka vacation is Negombo, is a bustling city close to the Bandaranaike International Airport; and second largest city in the Western province, after Colombo Located at the lagoon-mouth, Negombo is a major tourist destination with an old, large and thriving fishing industry. The beach here is quiet and peaceful, and the sight of the fisher folk out at sea on their oruwas (outrigger canoes) is a particularly charming sight. It is not always safe to swim here, but diving enthusiasts can explore the wreck of a World War II British cargo plane in nearby Marawila. A boat trip winding through the lush mangroves down the Dutch Canal or Muthurajawela Marsh will reward you with sightings of monitor lizards and flocks of migrant birds.

Day 02 : Jaffna
Prior to the Sri Lankan Civil War, it was Sri Lanka’s second most populous city after Colombo. The 1980s insurgent uprising led to extensive damage, expulsion of part of the population, and military occupation. Since the end of civil war in 2009, refugees and internally displaced people began returning to homes, while government and private sector reconstruction started taking place. Historically, Jaffna has been a contested city. It was made into a colonial port town during the Portuguese occupation of the Jaffna peninsula in 1619 who lost it to the Dutch, only to lose it to the British in 1796. During the civil war, the rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) occupied Jaffna in 1986. The Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) briefly occupied the city in 1987. The LTTE again occupied the city from 1989 until 1995, when the Sri Lankan Army regained control.

Once booking details are submitted by you, we will go ahead with the booking process. At this stage, we require a 20% payment from you. A booking confirmation will reach you after 48 hours of making the payment. A balance of 80% of the payment is required, 10 days prior to the tour start date.
